US Representative Anthony Brown (D) defeated Michael Peroutka (R) in the race for Maryland Attorney General capturing 60 percent of the vote to Peroutka’s 40 percent.
Anthony Brown represents Maryland’s 4th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives. Before joining Congress, Brown was the Lieutenant Governor of Maryland from 2007 to 2015 and was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1999 to 2007.
Peroutka previously served as a member of the Anne Arundel County Council, representing District 5 from 2014-2018.
