Warren Deschenaux, executive director of the Department of Legislative Services and the head budget and policy advisor to the General Assembly plans to retire December 1, 2017. A national search will be undertaken to replace Mr. Deschenaux and the presiding officers have appointed a steering committee to oversee the interview process and recommend candidates. A new executive director will be in place by the start of the 2018 legislative session.
