Governor Hogan has appointed Delegate Paul Corderman to the Maryland Senate following the recommendation of the Washington County Republican Central Committee. Delegate Corderman, R-Washington, has been tapped to replace former Senator Andrew Serafini in Maryland Senate District 2. Senator Serafini resigned effective August 1.
From the Governor’s press release,
“I am confident that Delegate Corderman will continue to be a strong advocate for constituents in Washington County in his new role as state senator,” said Governor Hogan. “I offer him my sincere congratulations, and will continue to work with him to change Maryland for the better.”
Delegate Corderman was first appointed to the House of Delegates to complete the term of former Del. Brett Wilson, who resigned when he was appointed to the Washington County Circuit Court. Delegate Corderman was then elected to the seat in 2018.
