Several local jurisdictions have issued executive orders or advisories to impose more strict COVID-19 restrictions on dining, retail and recreational establishments. The actions of these jurisdictions are summarized below.
Anne Arundel – The most recent county Executive Order, which takes effect today, December 16 at 5 p.m. was recently amended today to allow outdoor dining, provided that no more than 50% of tent sides are down and that foodservice establishments follow all COVID-19 social distancing and safety protocols. The amended executive order also clarifies protocols and policies for sports practices, bingo halls, and indoor ice rinks and roller rinks. Specifics of the executive order are outlined in the press release. Baltimore City – Effective Friday, December 11 at 5 p.m., restaurants were closed for indoor and outdoor dining and capacity was further limited to 25% at retail and recreational establishments. The Executive Order provides specific details.
Frederick – Latest restrictions limit indoor gatherings to no more than 15 people and limit capacity at large indoor recreational facilities to 50 people or fewer. Press Release and Joint Advisory
Montgomery – Restrictions to suspend indoor dining, reduce indoor sports gatherings to no more than 10 people and reduce the maximum capacity of retail establishments take effect today, December 16 at 5 p.m. Press Release and Executive Order
Prince George’s – Effective today, Wednesday, December 16 at 5 p.m., indoor dining at restaurants will be suspended, with outdoor remaining at 50 percent capacity and food service establishments still able to offer takeout. Additionally, indoor capacity at retail stores, gyms, and the National Harbor casino will be reduced to 25 percent. Press Release and Executive Order
