As reported by numerous sources, Representative John Delaney is considering a run 
for the Democratic nomination for President in 2020 forgoing a run for Maryland Governor in 2018 and likely not seeking re-election to Congress. He is expected to announce his plans this weekend.
Members of the General Assembly from Montgomery County have announced their intention to run for the seat if Representative Delaney decides not to run for re-election. Its been reported that Delegates Bill Frick of Bethesda and Aruna Miller of Darnestown are both raising funds to run for the seat.
